EXCLUSIVE! I was not in contact with my parents for 2 years, and that was quite challenging for me: Afreen Alvi

MUMBAI: Afreen Alvi is trying to make a strong mark in the industry with her acting contribution. The actress, who is known for her projects like Shaadi Teri Bajayenge Hum Band (2018), Naagin (2015), and Shubh Laabh Aapkey Ghar Mein (2021), always tries to deliver something different.

Team TellyChakkar got an exclusive chance to speak to Afreen Alvi with regard to her acting journey, where she also spoke in detail about the types of character she looks forward to doing on digital platforms.

The actress revealed that she comes from a very conservative family. She belongs to a Delhi-based Muslim family that has a few restrictions. It was her dream and passion to become an actress in Bollywood. She came to Mumbai 2017, and right from her debut movie, there was no looking back for her. Throwing some light on her acting journey, she says that she just wants to work hard and deliver her best shot in every project.

Afreen Alvi on the most challenging phase of her life

As mentioned, the actress to a family that has a few restrictions. She was not allowed to become an actress by her family. She tried to convince her parents a lot to allow her to work in the industry. She was not in contact with her family for two years when she was into modeling. Those two years was quite challenging for her. Staying away from your family and not being in contact was most challenging thing. She also adds that now, all her family members are very proud of her and the work she has been doing.

Afreen Alvi on types of characters she looks forward to doing on digital platforms

She wishes to play some challenging characters on digital platforms. The actress says that she would love to play relatable characters, like what Sobhita Dhulipala did in the web series Made In Heaven.

No doubt it is always a treat to watch the actress on screen, and we look forward to seeing more of her.
