MUMBAI: Bollywood Actress Ashwini Kalsekar in this exclusive conversation with Tellychkkar.com talks about her film 36 Farmhouse. The actress speaks about the response to the film, her experience of working with Sanjay Mishra and Vijay Raaz, and a lot more.

Tell us the response you have been getting for the film?

It is a very light-hearted film. It is very nice that everyone could sit with their family and watch the film. There is comedy and emotions in the film. Like Subhash Ghai has already said, it is full-on masala entertainment. When the promo came out, everyone was like you look so different in the film. They told me that I look so nice and cute in that role. So, the response was positive from the time the trailer was out. And when the film came out everybody loved the film and I have been receiving a very good response for the film. The audience can relate to the film because many had to face the same situation during the time of Covid.

How was your experience of working with Sanjay Mishra and Vijay Raaz?

Sanjay Mishra and Vijay Raaz are very dangerous actors. I am the biggest fan of both the actors. So many times it was like a fan moment for me where I just look at them perform. With Sanjay, you need to be alert 24*7 because he will come up with something hilarious dialogues that you need to be on guard. I have to control myself from laughing because he is so amazing with his comic timing. The moment he enters the set all the unit people will gather together just to see him perform. And the same goes for Vijay Raaz. They both are like a school in themselves. It was my pleasure that I got a chance to work with them. I could learn from them, I felt like a school student who is still learning from both Sanjay and Vijay.

How do you prepare for your roles?

Now the audience is smart enough, they will come to know easily if you are lacking in your performance. So you need to be with the time. If you refuse that you won’t be anywhere. The learning process is throughout. So, I am in the process of learning day in and out. I always regret that I never had formal training in acting. So for me, this is the only learning ground for me. I will keep learning till my last breath. If you are earning your livelihood from the profession then you have to keep learning new things about that profession. If I don’t learn about new things in my profession, then nobody will cast me in their films. So learning always helps me to grow as an actor.
