MUMBAI: Mrinal Dutt has been a part of many TV shows, movies, and OTT series. The actor will next be seen in the series Ishq Next Door which is slated to release on Jio Cinema on 3rd July 2023.
TellyChakkar recently interacted with Mrinal and spoke to him about the series, his chemistry with his co-actors and more...
Tell us something about your role in Ishq Next Door.
I play a character named Ashwin Chauhan. He is someone who is looking for Ishq. He is searching for what he wants in life. He is somebody who had rejected love, but now, he wants to get that love again in his life. But, he is very sensitive; he understands people’s pain and love, and he wants to become a good person.
What was your first reaction when the series was offered to you?
When the series was offered to me I really liked it and I thought I want to do it. I felt that it’s a genuine story and I should do it. Also, when I came to know about my character I jumped on.
It's a romantic film, so how difficult or easy was it to get the chemistry right with your co-actor?
When co-actors are good, then it becomes easy. I knew Natasha from first only and we have even worked together earlier. But, others are also very good actors and my chemistry with everyone was good. So, chemistry was a problem as it was set and because of that we could explore our characters deeper. We were safe in our own zone.
