MUMBAI: Natasha Bharadwaj, Abhay Mahajan, Mrinal Dutt, and Purav Jha will be seen together in the series Ishq Next Door. It is going to premiere on Jio Cinemas on 3rd July 2023.
TellyChakkar recently interacted with Natasha and spoke to her about the series, her experience of working with her co-actors and more...
Tell us something about your role in Ishq Next Door.
I play a character called Meher, she is a super simple, sweet girl who is extremely ambitious and has really big dreams. She faces a lot of resistance from her family though; she doesn’t get the support that she needs from them. But, she is stubborn and she still goes for what she wants. In the middle of all of this there’s this love that she finds and how that moves forward, and then what happens, for that you have to wait and watch.

What was your first reaction when the series was offered to you?
I was very happy and my heart was smiling when I heard the script. I was instantly on board; I was like this is a very beautiful and simple story said with the purest of intentions. Later, when I got the script and when I read the dialogues, I was like it’s very beautifully written.
It's a romantic series, so how difficult or easy was it to get the chemistry right with your co-actor?
I have to say that I have been extremely honored to have worked with some really interesting actors because they are very giving actors themselves which is why your job as an actor becomes much easier. So, I think because I was working with such great actors, the action-reaction process became really flowy and simple.
