What response are you getting for your performance in Jubilee?

I have got tremendous response and it has become very popular because everybody is talking about Jubilee. In just a few days, it has picked up so well. People are also talking about my character; somebody told me that my dialogue picking up well, ‘Murdon ka koi mazhab nahi hota, yeh toh hum zinda logoke musibat hai’. Even when I am going out people are reacting on my character and the show that how well it is made. People are also saying that this series is a based on a true story, but I would like to say that it’s completely fictional.

How was your experience of working with Vikramaditya Motwane?

It was phenomenal. In Maharani, I worked with Subhash Kapoor sir, and now in Jubilee I got to work with Vikramaditya Motwane. He is a one of the pioneer directors in our country, and when I got the opportunity to work with him, it was a dream come true. He is a very cool and calm director.

The web series is set in the 40s. So, did you do any research to play a cop of that era?

I was very confused about my dress. I was told to wear the belt above the stomach like how they used to wear in that era. At that time, the cops used to wear clothes differently according to their positions. So, my character was an inspector and I came to know that they used to get dressed up like that, so I did it very comfortably. And the research part was definitely about the language because this inspector is speaking Hindi and Urdu mix. Also, I pick languages very easily.”
