Exclusive! Poacher actor Dibyendu Bhattacharya calls Alia Bhatt as ‘a fantastic human being’, praises her for joining the project

MUMBAI: Alia Bhatt is one of the most talented and stunning actresses of our times. The actress who produced Darlings last year, has now become an executive producer for an investigative crime series on Amazon Originals titled Poacher. The series will explore the shocking secrets of the largest Ivory poaching ring in Indian history.

Tellychakkar got in touch with Dibyendu Bhattacharya where we got into a conversation and he opened up about some interesting insights when we asked him about the series, his character and much more.

About the series

To this, Dibyendu Bhattacharya said that it is one a kind series and such a show hasn’t been made earlier in India. He added that humans can finish up the whole planet due to their greed and we keep taking everything from the planet but we need to realise that this planet doesn’t belong to just us. He further said that we as humans don’t have the awareness about how animals are being killed. Talking about the series, Dibyendu Bhattarcharya said that the series is a crime-thriller through which the makers want to spread some awareness.

About his character

To this, Dibyendu Bhattacharya said that he is playing the character of Kerala Forest dept. Film director who is an ex-intelligent officer. He said that from the basis of the trailer it can be visible clearly what he is up to and added that this is a story of a bunch of people who are wildlife crime fighters. It shows how these people deal with poachers relentlessly.

How did Alia Bhatt contribute to the project?

To this, Dibyendu Bhattacharya said that joining the project itself was contribution enough from Alia Bhatt’s side as the project is about spreading awareness and she being a big name the show and the theme will be highlighted well. The actor also added that Alia Bhatt is a fantastic human being.
