MUMBAI: Priya Bapat was last seen in the series City of Dreams season 3 and now, she is all set for her next project titled Rafuchakkar. It also stars Maniesh Paul in the lead role, and it will premiere on Jio Cinema.

TellyChakkar recently interacted with Priya Bapat and spoke to her about her role in the series, her experience of working with the team, and more...

Tell us something about your character in Rafuchakkar.

I play a character named Ritu Bhandari who is a very cunning, shroud, and a successful lawyer. She is hungry for success and she will make sure she will win the case. She is a very intelligent and smart woman who knows how to get her way out.

You play a lawyer, so for reference did you watch any movies or series where a character had played a lawyer, especially a female actress?

No, I didn't watch anything. A lot of times people ask me this but I think my scripts and my directors vision is what I rely on mostly rather than following some reference point in films or through stories. I try to bring in my observations and add those into the character. So, I didn’t take reference from any Hindi film or a show or an actress who has already played the character on screen.

How was your experience of working with fellow artists?

It was great, the set was really a fun set. Our director is somebody who likes to keep the set very happy and light, and he keeps cracking jokes. But, apart from that I was really focused because the challenging part was the courtroom scenes as I had those speeches in which I had to be confident. But, we had fun because every character gives you new experience and new learning.
