MUMBAI : Rahul Dev is one of the most talented actors we have in the industry. This year, he has already impressed us with his performances in movies and OTT shows like Gaslight, 1920: Horrors of the Heart, and Hunter Tootega Nahi Todega. Yesterday, his OTT series titled Adhura started streaming on Amazon Prime Video.

TellyChakkar recently interacted with Rahul and spoke to him about the series, how different it is from horror movies he has done earlier, and more...

What response are you getting for the show?

It’s pretty good. They are talking about season 2. So, it’s looking good.

Tell us something about your character in the series.

I play an investigative officer, his name is Bedi. He enters the series only in the third episode. An investigation happens which is not up to the mark, so my character comes to fix things. It’s about a reunion that happens in a school, and all these ex-students have come back to the school. Then what happens, how things change there, is the story. Bedi is a very honest guy and he uncovers what the truth is.

You have been a part of horror movies like Shaapit and recently released 1920: Horrors of the Heart. So, how different is Adhura from those films?

I haven’t seen the whole series, so it will be unfair on my part to compare it. But, the way it is written and the way they have shot it, the aesthetics are very top notch. Another thing which I found very close to my heart is the layers in this. There are 3 or 4 layers in this project, there’s a mystery and intrigue in it. So, it’s not only the supernatural element, but it has got a sense of mystery behind it.
