MUMBAI: Producer Girish Arora in an exclusive telephonic conversation with TellyChakkar spoke about his son Ronith Arora, who is making his Bollywood debut in Bob Biswas. He spoke about how he got the role in the film, the advertisements he has done, and a lot more.

Your son Ronith is making his debut in Bollywood. As a father, how do you feel about it?

I am already a producer and have made many short films. We feel very happy about Ronith. He has done many television commercials. Mukesh Chhabra saw him in some advertisements and gave him a break in Bob Biswas. We don’t want to expose him much. But whatever roles he does, he should deliver a good performance.

Was Ronith scared of facing the cameras?

No, Ronith never had any fear of facing the cameras. He has already done 35 television commercials. He was very comfortable doing the film. Three years back, he performed for the first time on the stage during the Ganapati festival. That time we thought that he has the talent and we should promote it.

How did Ronith get shortlisted for the film?

Ronith is playing Abhishek Bachchan’s son in the film. He has a very good part and we thought it will be a good break for him. Hence, we went ahead with the film. He also gave an audition at Mukesh Chhabra’s office and was immediately shortlisted.

After Covid 19, schools have started. How does Ronith manage his shoot and studies?

We don’t take any television serials for him. Whatever he does, we try to see there is some kind of performance for him. We don’t want him to do montage ads. He should do less of advertisements, and whatever he does should be quality work. We don’t want to compromise on his studies too. He has been offered many television serials but we never approved them. He does all his ads mostly on Saturdays and Sundays only.
