Tellychakkar got in touch with the actress and asked her what drove her to signing the movie and what were the challenges she faced while shooting the film.
What is the one thing that drove you to signing the project?
The first thing that comes to my mind is the story. When I got the call from my director Abhishek Sharma, he narrated the entire story to me and the storyline is so engaging, that you start with what’s happening and then you go totally into it and secondly, it was Sudha’s story. He asked me to play the protagonist role and that was a very exciting moment of my life and hence, I had two strong reasons to do the movie.
What are the challenges you’ll face while doing the role?
I had to wake up early in the morning around 5: 30 am, and drive down to Andheri and work out I do a basic workout daily. But, this one was something different as I needed to build a runner’s body and know the stance.
The training was very challenging and the one thing I would never forget is that my trainer made me do a wall sit for five minutes and when I wanted to get up, he pushed my shoulder down so that I could sit in that position and it was very tough. As far as my diet is concerned, I had to give up nachos, samosa, fries and cold coffee and was put on a strict diet. So yes, the role was very challenging.
What is the one memory you had while shooting this project? Any specific one you have taken back home?
It was the people of the village where we shot, as the people out there were so supportive, loving, and caring. At one point, we all became like family. So everyone shot this movie with a lot of love and care and the village people also got along with our director as they are also part of the movie. We watched the movie along with them and they were so excited! So yes, it’s the people out there who we have made great memories with while shooting.
Well, the fans are excited to see Dhavak, which has been streaming on Amazon mini Tv since 30th August 2022.
