MUMBAI: Kajol is all set for her OTT series debut with the show The Trial, which is the adaptation of the international series The Good Wife. The trailer of the series was released today and it is quite engaging.
At the trailer launch, when Kajol was asked about why she decided to make her OTT series debut with The Trial, the actress said, “I have watched the original show and I loved it. That’s when the discussions started. The character and the concept was amazing, but I did have one question - how would it be adapted in Hindi. That’s when Suparn (Verma) came in and the entire narration of the script happened.”
“For me, it has to be about the script and the script is never about only one character, it’s always about everybody. Everybody’s character in this series is very well-rounded and I loved it. My script is my king,” she added.
When asked if she ever had to make a tough choice in life, Kajol said, “I have made choices which might not be popular, but none were really tough. I won’t say that anybody has influenced my choices too much.”
Directed by Suparn Verma, The Trial also stars Sheeba Chaddha, Kubbra Sait and Gaurav Pandey. It will premiere on Disney+ Hotstar on 14th July, 2023.
