MUMBAI: Actor Zakir Hussain was present to promote his upcoming web series Ferrous. The actor speaks about his character in the series, his experience of working with Vijay Raaz, and how was his struggle like in the industry.

Tell us about your character in the web series Ferrous?

I am playing a character of a Minister in the web series who is like a villain. There are four different stories in this web series that come and meet at one point at the end. My character is involved in land grabbing and misusing his position.

How was your experience of working with Vijay Raaz?

Vijay Raaz is one of the most talented actors of our time. We know each other for a very long time approximately 30 years now. We know each other from the time when we used to do theatres in Delhi. He has been doing fantastic work and it is always wonderful to work with him. 

What was your struggle like when you first decided to be an actor?

It was destiny that brought me here. I was doing theatre in Delhi and there only I got my first serial for Doordarshan which was called Firdaus. Talking about my struggle when I came to Mumbai there was no one who knows me. But after doing so much work, people come to know about you, they come to know about your inner strength and your talent. After that, the works start coming your way.  

The actor will be seen in the web series Ferrous which also stars Vijay Raaz, Gopal K Singh, Myra Singh, Pankaj Jha, and a few others. The web series will be premiered on the OTT platform from 8th February 2022. Ferrous is written and directed by Shaurya Singh and Produced by Vibhu Agarwal’s ULLU originals.
