MUMBAI : 2022 was a great year for Gulshan Devaiah. The actor impressed one and all with his performance in the movies like Badhaai Do and Blurr (OTT release) and web series like Duranga and Shiksha Mandal.

TellyChakkar recently organized a Round Table with a few talented actors who had left a mark on OTT in 2022 and Gulshan was also a part of the interaction.

When talking about how he would sum up his professional life in 2022, the actor said, “It has been one of the busiest phases of my career because before the lockdown and during the lockdown, I had signed a lot of projects. I am almost working for the past 20-22 months continuously, and people got to see me in different roles, so professionally that was also a nice thing.”

“I did a guest appearance in a movie (Badhaai Do) for a friend. It’s just a six-minute role, but I received a lot of love, and I did not expect that. I am very fortunate that I get to do what I love to do and I get paid for it as well. You cannot measure craft and talent, so if you get this feeling that people are appreciating you then I must have some gratitude towards it,” he added.

Gulshan also opened up about his personal life, and revealed, “Personally, I have been single for two years; I have been divorced for two years. I am single and I still haven't mustered up enough courage to go and ask Sai Pallavi out, so I am waiting for the courage (laughs). I would like to work with her; we did send a script, but we knew she was not going to do it.”

The actor further said, “At a personal level, there are a lot of things like my parents are growing older; I live alone now with my cats, so you do feel better like I don’t feel lonely at all. You get comfortable with the whole idea of self-reliance that you are emotionally capable of looking after yourself, you are not so dependent. I don’t want to change, but after a point in life you need to improve, so I am trying to focus on how I can improve myself, both in my work and personal life.”

Gulshan currently has interesting projects lined up like Guns & Gulaabs, Duranga season 2, and more.
