MUMBAI : Filmmaker Sanjay Gupta’s upcoming sports drama The Miranda Brothers, and the drama Visfot will be making their way directly to the digital screens, skipping the theatrical route. According to recent reports, Sanjay’s both upcoming films have been bought by a streaming platform for a direct-to-OTT premiere.
A trade source has revealed that Jio Cinema has bought The Miranda Brothers and Visfot for a direct-to-digital premiere, with the latter scheduled to be released first, followed by the sports drama.
The Miranda Brothers stars Harshvardhan Rane alongside Meezaan Jafri and Sahher Bamba. It is a sports drama helmed by Sanjay Gupta himself. Reportedly, the movie will center around two brothers who select the opposite sides of the professional football world. A major portion of the film was shot in Goa and it went on floors in 2022. Harshvardhan had reportedly trained in football for his role in the film. As for Visfot, it is a Sanjay Gupta production starring Fardeen Khan and Riteish Deshmukh.
