MX Player’s ‘Mannphodganj Ki Binny’ is the story of a 21-year-old Binny - who’s modern and quirky, but with a fully desi swag who dreams of a world outside her restricted life in Mannphodganj. But, her plans to escape to the big city encounter a series of unlikely obstacles.

Let’s go through the people Binny is surrounded with and the characters in her life because you are sure to relate to each one! 

1.‘Ladka Dhundo’ Parents – Meet Brajesh & Kumud Bajpai, Binny’s parents aka the ones who desperately want to get their daughter ‘Binny’ married. Owning a lingerie shop in the small-town of Allahabad, Brajesh Bajpai is a light-hearted family man who leads a content life, with no dreams to chase. On the other hand - Binny’s mother, Kumud is a strict yet understanding mother. Queen of her house, she wants to have all things rich for her daughter. Both Kumud and Brajesh are constantly on the look-out for a suitor for their princess. Now who hasn’t had the tough ‘marriage’ conversation at home? 

2.The Shy Lover – There had to be one! Who can imagine a small-town story without a shy lover? Raja Singh is a law student from Allahabad University who is deeply and madly in love with Binny. The one who is never noticed by her, but is always there for her. Yeah, we’ve all heard of that one. 

3.The Bestie – We always have that someone who we can rely on blindly. In the case of Binny, she has Manjul. A studious, religious, god-fearing, gullible and basically being the best ‘bestie’ Manjul stands by all of Binny’s madness. 

4.Your Dream Boy – Good looking, rich and kind – he’s the boy you’ve always dreamed of. We all have that crush we’re trying to ‘patao’. In Binny’s life - it’s Rahul Pandey. A politician’s son, rich, and spoilt - the supposed perfect bad boy for a good girl like Binny

With an interesting set of characters to an interesting plot, this series promises to give you a perfect dose of entertainment during this quarantine.

This MX Original Series – Mannphodganj Ki Binny is produced for Applause Entertainment by Tony and Deeya Singh’s – DJ’s A Creative Unit and is directed by Vikas Chandar. The 10 episodic series also boasts of an ensemble cast with Anurag Sinha, Aru Krishnank, Abhinav Anand, Samar Vermani, Alka Kaushal, Atul Srivastava, Kritika, Fahmaan Khan in key roles and is written by Amitosh Nagpal.
