Hungama 2 Review

MUMBAI: Director Priyadarshan is back in Bollywood after a long gap with the sequel of one of the most loved movies. The mad gang of Hungama is back with some added elements. Hungama 2 stars Paresh Rawal, Shilpa Shetty, Meezaan Jaffrey, Pranitha Subhash, Rajpal Yadav, Tiku Talsania, Ashutosh Rana, and Manoj Joshi.

Talking about the story of the movie, we can say it has nothing new to offer. Vaani (Pranitha Subhash) claims Akash Kapoor (Meezaan Jaffrey) to be her daughter's father. On the other hand, Radheshyam Tiwari (Paresh Rawal) suspects that her wife Anjali Tiwari (Shilpa Shetty) is having an affair. The drama that takes place when these people come together is shown in the movie.

The screenplay of the movie is decent. It surely manages to grab your attention but drops at many places. The direction also frequently falls flat.

Talking about the performances delivered by the cast, Meezaan Jaffrey was decent on his part. There are a few hilarious moments given to the actor and he performs well. Shilpa Shetty has nothing much to offer in the movie. Talents like Paresh Rawal and Johnny Lever also have nothing much to offer. Paresh Rawal being the backbone of the prequel is totally wasted in this sequel. Ashutosh Rana impresses you with his part. The other cast like Tiku Talsania and Manoj Joshi were decent.

Talking about the positive points of the movie, Rajpal Yadav and Ashutosh Rana form the soul. A few hilarious scenes given to these two actors will surely make you laugh. The location covered in the movie is a treat to watch. Pranitha Subhash and Shilpa Shetty look stunning.

Talking about the negative points of the movie, the storyline is a major letdown, as it lacks freshness. The movie lacks the touch of Priyadarshan movies. Hungama 2 being a comedy falls flat in terms of comedy.

Having said that, Hungama 2 is strictly for Priyadarshan fans and can be watched once.

Team TellyChakkar goes with 2.5/5 stars for Hungama 2.
