MUMBAI: After enthralling the audiences with a gripping first season, SonyLIV is back with the second part of its widely appreciated crime-thriller Undekhi. Picking up from right where the story ended in the first part, this season will explore the unresolved businesses of the characters further, with more action, more drama, and more twists and turns that will leave the audience wanting for more. Set against the backdrop of Manali, Undekhi revolves around a horrid crime that takes place one fateful night and the chase that ensues between the perpetrators and the ones seeking justice.

Manali is central to the story in the season 2 and the cast reminisced about their experiences of going back to shoot there. For Surya Sharma, who plays the antagonist Rinku Atwal, it was like going back to his home, quite literally, as, being born in Himachal, he is a native to the place. Talking about his experiences of shooting in Manali, he said, “It is always a great experience to shoot here. Quite a surreal feeling as these are the same places that I have grown up around and where I have spent most of my childhood. I took the cast and crew around the popular spots here and made sure they got to experience the local food. This time around we have shot in a lot of untouched areas of Manali, ones that are now beginning to gain popularity as shooting spots. I am excited that people will get to see more of our story unfold here.”

Adding further he said, “We also have a Whatsapp group where we used to share pictures of our shoot locations of all the other projects that they have shot.”
Shooting closer to home also gave him the opportunity to bring his parents to the shoots. Elaborating on the experience, he said, “This was the first time that my father visited me while I was shooting. I felt a bit nervous at first as I wanted him to see me give my best shots. It was very nice to have his energy around me, while shooting.”

Starring Surya Sharma, Harsh Chhaya, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Anchal Singh, Apeksha Porwal, Nandish Sandhu, and Meiyang Chang, Undekhi 2 will soon be streaming exclusively on SonyLIV. Directed by Ashish R Shukla, the show is produced by Applause Entertainment. The show will be available on SonyLIV exclusively from 4th March.
