Rajat Kapoor revealed that it is the director Sudhir Mishra whose work he has been watching and loved also. He loves him a lot. On the other hand, it was the superb script which he loved. So there was no reason to say no for the web series.
Rajat Kapoor on how different this web series is from other Kashmir movies
Over time, we have seen different types of movies being made on different Kashmir issues. Rajat Kapoor says that he has not seen all of them, but one thing is for sure that every filmmaker has his own way to define and describe the issues related to Kashmir. This particular web series stands apart from any other shows and movies on Kashmir due to superb execution and the script.

Rajat Kapoor on his ongoing Mantra
Rajat Kapoor says there are no set parameters and formulas he follows, but one thing he follows is that he approaches any of his work with full honesty and full belief. Sometimes your project fails, but sometimes your project becomes a big hit, so this is an ongoing thing. But every time, he approaches his work with full honesty.
