MUMBAI: Actor Abhishek Sharma, who is much loved for his performance as Sunny in the show Junooniyat has won hearts with his fun and witty personality. With all the struggles for creating a name in the industry, Abhishek went candid on sharing about his experience and struggle journey.
Abhishek quoted, “Who doesn’t want to play a lead in a project but when i thought of taking acting as a career I didn’t think about any role being small or big. As an actor i believe in being versatile and when I gave a look test for Sunny’s character in junooniyat I saw myself in the mirror and said that I will give my 100% in this character no matter what. Being a part of this industry where there is competition all around you I too have faced a lot of talks for my role that it’s small it’s a side role etc etc. People have mocked me, made fun of me too at the beginning I use to get affected, I use to get conscious but then slowly I started realising that no matter what I do people will keep talking bad about you.
He further added, “I mean so what if I’m playing a particular role in a show an ace actor like Nawazuddin Siddiqui too played the smallest roles at the beginning of his career and look where he is today the finest actor of our industry so I think no one should get under estimated. It affects you mentally it affected me as well but I gathered myself and I’m still going.”
Abhishek recently made his Punjabi debut with the movie Udeekan Teriyan in which he is playing a lead. He also has a number of projects in the pipeline.
