MUMBAI : Kavya Thapar was recently seen in the web series CAT which started streaming on Netflix a few days ago. The actress is a well-known face down South as she has done movies Ee Maaya Peremito (Telugu), Market Raja MBBS (Tamil), and Ek Mini Katha (Telugu). Earlier, this year, she also made her Bollywood debut with a sweet film titled Middle Class Love.
TellyChakkar recently interacted with Kavya and spoke to her about the difference between South and Hindi film industries, her upcoming projects, and more…
You have done a few South films and now you are working in the Hindi film industry. Do you find any difference in the film industries?
There isn't much difference. But, for me, language was a barrier. I am a Punjabi girl, and I had never spoken Telugu or Tamil. So, that was the only barrier I faced. Otherwise, there’s no difference.

You will next be seen in Raj & DK’s Farzi which stars Shahid Kapoor in the lead role. So, tell us something about it.
I will be seen opposite Shahid Kapoor in the series. I have a small part in season 1, but in season 2 my character will be developed. It was amazing to get a chance to work with Shahid Kapoor.
You also have a film down South with Ravi Teja; what’s the update on that?
Yes, I am doing a film with Ravi Teja titled Eagle. The film is something that no one has seen in Telugu cinema. I have shot a couple of scenes, and I have to shoot more and the next schedule will start in January.
