MUMBAI: Ludo premiered on Netflix and here is the complete review of the movie

One of the much-awaited movies of 2020, Ludo directed by Anurag Basu is being premiered on Netflix. Initially, the movie was supposed to release in theatres but due to the pandemic and lockdown all over, the movie was pushed and now got premiered on Netflix.
The movie has several talented stars like Abhishek Bachchan, Aditya Roy Kapoor, Sanya Malhotra, Rajkummar Rao, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Asha Negi, Aman Bhagat, Pearle Maaney. And the movie speaks about 4 different stories and how they cross each other at different points and is shown in the movie in a hilarious way.
The story is set in 4 parts, a woman trying to save her husband, a goon is doing anything to save his daughter and his family, and young couple on a ride taking a goon's money, and the last one is the part of friends with benefits who are set to a mission solve the mistake they have done in the past, well these 4 set stories are special in their own unique way and they somehow cross each other paths not once many times and all the characters in these stories play an important role to influence each other.
The storytelling is the USP of the movie and the screenplay is amazing and it keeps you hooked and booked to the seat till the climax and, in spite of so many things happening at a single point no confusion is felt and the story is told clearly and interestingly. The direction by Anurag Basu is quite decent and he manages to cover every angle of the story in the best way possible.
The performances by the leads are good, Abhishek Bachchan, Aditya Roy Kapoor, Sanya Malhotra were decent in their part but Rajkummar Rao and Pankaj Tripathi are an absolute treat to watch in this movie. Whenever they both come on screen, they will make you laugh, Fatima Sana Shaikh was also decent in the movie and on the other hand you will be surprised to see Asha Negi in a brand new avatar.

The positive points of the movie are the storytelling which manages to grab your attention and keep your eyeballs towards the screen and also the screenplay of the movie is very written but later in few portions, you may feel bore as the screenplay loosens a bit but again the movie saved by the amazing performances by the leads specially Rajkumar Rao and Pankaj Tripathi, the songs good in the movie and does not look forceful, but the songs are quite situational and go with movie and help in storytelling. Performances by all the leads are outstanding and all will surprise you in their own way.
Negative points of the movie can be the unnecessary use of abusive language which were not required at few points and also the movie in between looked a little dragged as the screenplay went a little loose but as mentioned earlier performances came as the savior in the movie and the audience interest are back on track.

Overall this movie is a fun, colorful rollercoaster ride of entertainment, and can be seen at least one time.
