Mimi finally premieres before its release date, and here is the full review of the movie
Mimi Review: Kriti Sanon shines in this movie, whereas Pankaj Tripathi delivers one of his best

MUMBAI: Mimi was supposed to premiere on 30th July but it took the movie lovers by surprise with an early premier on 26 July. Seems like it was a treat for all the Kriti Sanon fans as she happened to celebrate her birthday. Mimi stars Kriti Sanon, Pankaj Tripathi along with some amazing talents like Saie Tamhankar, Manoj Pahwa and Supriya Pathak, and also Evelyn Edwards and Aidan Whytock.

Talking about the story of the movie, Mimi stars an inspiring actress played by Kriti Sanon who looks forward to see herself among the top stars in Bollywood. A lifetime opportunity comes on her way when she has to surrogate a baby. How her life goes through a sea of changes and whether she is able to fulfil her dreams is a journey which the movie takes us through.

The screenplay of the movie is amazing and the movie holds your attention from the first scene to the last scene. The direction is decent.

Talking about the performances,  Kriti wins our hearts with her performance. The actress shines throughout the movie and this is one of her best works in her career so far. On the other hand, Pankaj Tripathi tickles our funny bones with his one liners. Sai Tamhankar also delivers a decent performance as the best friend of Kriti and Manoj Pawar and Supriya Pathak contribute well in the overall movie.

The positive points of the movie can be the unique concept. Stories like these are less to be seen in Bollywood, and also the story telling is the USP of the movie. Having said that, the performances delivered by every actor especially Kriti Sanon and Pankaj Tripathi is a treat to watch. The screenplay of the movie is another USP as it never allows you to get bored. Also the Emotional scenes and the strong message given towards the end of the movie makes the movie very special.

The negative points of the movie can be the screenplay in between which takes off at a fast pace, and you may not be able to connect to the movie.

But having said all these points Mimi is a complete family entertainer, and it is completely worth your time.

Team TellyChakkar goes with 3.5/5 for Mimi.
