MUMBAI: Netflix has launched the trailer for ‘Mismatched’, led by YouTube sensation Prajakta Koli (aka MostlySane) and Rohit Saraf.
The official synopsis reads, “He’s searching for his happily ever after. She dreams of being a tech wizard. Over three months, this mismatched couple must build an amazing app while navigating an oddball bunch of friends, nasty bullies, a snooty professor… and well, each other.”
Koli is one of the biggest YouTubers in India with over 5 million subscribers. The web series serves as her Netflix debut. She also recently released her own web film titled ‘Khayali Pulao’ through her YouTube channel.
Saraf has played supporting roles in Bollywood films Dear Zindagi and The Sky is Pink. This will be his first title as the bonafide lead.
Apart from Koli and Saraf, other cast members were recently revealed by the platform: Rannvijay Singha, Vidya Malavade, Vihaan Samat, Muskkaan Jaferi, Taaruk Raina, Devyani Shorey, Kritika Bharadwaj and Abhinav Sharma.
The trailer introduces the different characters, displaying glimpses of their different quirk. Their professor, Sid (Singha), announces a competition to create the best app and divides the students into pairs.

With a “really cool” internship as the prize, the students quickly get to work. But teen life is often without complication. When the dust settles, who will come out as the winner?
The young adult romance has been directed by Akarsh Khurana, who’s known for writing TVF Tripling and starring in multiple TVF web series, including playing the lead in Yeh Meri Family.
Produced by RSVP, known for delivering films such as Uri, Lust Stories and The Sky is Pink, Mismatched has been adapted from Sandhya Menon’s book ‘When Dimple Met Rishi’.
