MUMBAI: Munawar Faruqui had become a household name after his stint in the show ‘Lock Upp’. He emerged as the winner and was the favourite of the audience. Most people believed that he would be the winner of the show considering the way he had played the game. He is currently winning the hearts of viewers with his game on Bigg Boss 17.
Munawar has come a long way earning just Rs 212 per week as his first salary, which is Rs 850 per month, which he earned at the age of 11-12. His family was so much in need of financial help that he never spent the money on himself. When Munawar became a comedian, he earned Rs 10,000 for a show he did for Alt Balaji.
As MUnawar’s popularity grew, he earned a whopping Rs 3.5-4 lakhs per week in the Kangana Ranaut hosted Lock Upp. Apart from the winning price, Munawar also earned a staggering Rs 40-45 Lakhs for the show.
What is his ultimate sign of success is that for Bigg Boss 17, Munawar is being paid Rs 7-8 lakhs per week.
