MUMBAI: The third season of the adored reality show Shark Tank India, which promotes innovation and entrepreneurship, is about to premiere. The event will include a new participant among experienced investors. Azhar Iqubal will be regarded as the newest member of the show's shark panel. He is a 30-year-old businessman who gained notoriety by building a Rs 3,700 crore firm from a modest Facebook page. But did you know he left the IIT?

 Azhar Iqubal began his career with a straightforward Facebook page before going on to become the CEO and co-founder of Inshorts, India's top English news app. His IIT friends Anunay Arunav and Deepit Purkayastha and he started their business with the help of the "News in Shorts" Facebook page. The idea was simple: provide readers with succinct news snippets, each no longer than 60 words.

During an interview, Azhar said, "The idea of Inshorts is to re-connect the generation with the habit of reading news. Knowing that this generation is always on the go, we make sure that the user stays updated."

Azhar is one of the co-founders of the business and is an IIT dropout who hails from Bihar. The Noida-based business is currently valued at Rs 3,700 crore, according to Fintrackr. 'Public,' a location-based social network, was introduced by Azhar Iqubal in 2019 as a follow-up to InShorts and has since grown to become the largest of its kind in India. Over 50 million people use YouTube regularly, and more than one million videos are uploaded each month.

For his business ventures, Azhar Iqubal has won numerous honors and recognitions. The Most Enterprising Brands, Leaders of Asia Award, Business World 40 under 40, Fortune India 40 under 40, Forbes India 30 under 30, and Forbes Asia 30 under 30 are just a few of these.
