MUMBAI : Kajol has been ruling the Hindi film industry for around three decades, and now, she is slowly making a mark on OTT as well. Her movie Tribhanga and anthology Lust Stories 2 were released on Netflix, and now, Kajol’s first OTT series, The Trial has started streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.

The show is a remake of the American TV show The Good Wife, and a lot of people have already started watching The Trial. While Kajol’s fans are loving it, the series is getting a mixed response. Some netizens have called it ‘one time watch’ and some feel that it’s a ‘cheap copy of The Good Wife’.

A netizen tweeted, “#thetrial - finished watching it and it is just - One Time Watch. Coming to performances , it is actually supporting cast which shine in this specially #sheebachadda & #Kubbrasait. #Kajol is good in pieces and again the actress inside her is missing. 6/10 for me!” Another Twitter user wrote, “Just finished binge-watching #TheTrial  series on #DisneyPlus and I'm conflicted. While it brilliantly highlights the complexities of love and law, some plot twists felt forced. Still worth a watch, but don't expect a flawless legal drama. What are your views?”
