Lock Upp Season 1 Finale: Exclusive! “My bond with Anjali wasn’t fake and post the show also will keep the friendship alive, and I am excited to be the winner of the first season” – Winner Munawar Faruqui

MUMBAI: Ekta Kapoor's reality show titled “Lock Upp”, where 17 contestants were locked in jail, played the game and fought for getting bail to survive, was launched on MX Player and Alt Balaji. 

The audience has given it a thumbs-up. 

Kangana Ranaut made her OTT debut with this show. As a host, she guided the contestants. The entire concept is a setup in jail. 

The contestants fought hard to survive and entertain the audience. 

Karan Kundrra as a jailor did a fabulous job. He beautifully entertained the audience, and whenever he came on the show the viewership shot to another level. 

The show has finally come to an end and the finale of the show will take place today. Finally, one contestant will lift the trophy and the show will get its winner. 

Munawar Faruqui has been announced as the winner of the show and there was no doubt about him being the winner of the show. 

Munawar from day one made a place in the audience's heart with his gameplay and everyone saw him as the winner of the show.

Post the win, TellyChakkar got in touch with Munawar and asked him how he feels about the win and if he will keep the friendship with Anjali or not. 

How does it feel to be the winner of the show? 

I am so excited that I have won the show and the feeling is yet to sink in. I am very happy and the support and love that I have received are unbelievable and maybe my prayers are heard. 

What are you going to do with the money and the car that you have won? 

The first thing that I would do is learn how to drive a car and with the money let's see will plan something. I was planning to buy a car but then I got one so will plan something. 

Your bond with Anjali was loved by the audience and your friendship grabbed a lot of headlines, will the friendship continue to post the show also, or was it for the game only? 

I won’t deny that we are very good friends and the bonds that I made in the jail weren’t fake. Everyone knew about it because this is what I am even in real life; when I make a friend, they remain with me for a lifetime as I don’t have many friends in my life, so yes, my friendship with Anjali would continue to post the show also. 

The stand-up comedian lifts the trophy and takes away 20 Lakhs of prize money and it’s time for his fans to celebrate.
