MUMBAI: Prakash Jha is a producer and director who is well known for his political and socio-political films such as Apaharan (2005), Raajneeti (2010), Aarakshan (2011), and Satyagraha (2013). He has made a few National Film Award winning documentaries.
He is now set to launch a web series on MX player titled Dera, which will be a political satire based on Godman Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, who is presently serving life imprisonment for rape and murder.
The series will feature Bobby Deol, Sachin Shroff, Anupriya Goenka, Sangram Singh, and Chandan Roy Sanyol.
We have information that Preeti Sood, who is well known for Pyar Daa Sandesh (2016), Revolver Rani (2014), and Welcome 2 Karachi (2015), has been roped in for the project and will have an important role to play.
