MUMBAI : Lara Dutta is hogging the limelight because of her latest OTT show 'Ranneeti: Balakot & Beyond', streaming on Jio Cinema. The thrilling web show revolves around the Balakot and Pulwama airstrike which was conducted by India and was a giveback to the Pulwama attack. There have been many patriotic web series and films in recent years and Lara Dutta's web show is a tribute to the Indian Armed forces. Lara, essays the role of Manisha Sehgal who is shown to be powerful as well as glamorous.

During an exclusive interview with Telly Chakkar, when the actress was asked about quality patriotic content made in a web series, which was coexisting with films like 'Gadar 2', 'Bell Bottom' on war themes; the actress had an amazing response. She said, "I think audiences have got a lot of exposure to content. People can choose at home, whether they want to see out- and out- commercial entertainers, or well-written intellectual shows. We cannot decide for the audience what their intellectual level should be. We have choices and that is why things work. ‘Ranneeti’ is a smart show, an entertainer. We are telling a story larger-than-life in a format, not just limited to OTT platforms or a second screen. You can see it from the trailer. It is massive in scale. We want our audience to enjoy the story in all its grandeur".
