MUMBAI: Actor Shekhar Suman who played the role of a nawab in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s web series Heeramandi has opened up about his character’s oral sex scene in the carriage with Mallikajaan aka Manisha Koirala. In an interview with Pinkvilla, Shekhar said that he could not even tell his wife about that particular scene in the film.

The actor said that the audience is slowly starting to understand the pathos of the scene that showcases the dilemma of a Nawab who is starting to lose his social standing as Britishers are taking over. He also said that the Nawabs were losing their finances due to their association with the courtesans.

He spoke about his way of pleasuring himself and said that he could not tell his wife Alka what he shot on that particular day. He said that when he came back from the shoot, she asked him which scene he performed and he said that it was not worth telling and not worth being performed again. He told her to watch the scene in the web series directly.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Heeramandi has been receiving mixed reviews from critics and viewers. The web series features Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Richa Chadha, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sharmin Segal, Taha Shah Badussha, Shekhar Suman, and Adhyayan Suman in main roles.
