MUMBAI: Mumbai, November 22, 2024: Sony SAB’s ‘Wagle Ki Duniya - Nayi Peedi Naye Kissey’ follows the daily struggles and triumphs of the quintessential middle-class, Wagle family. In upcoming episodes, the show will delve into the growing concern of children being lured into trafficking drugs.
The story takes a surprising turn when a parcel of chocolates arrives at Rajesh’s (Sumeet Raghvan) office, laced with drugs. As the police try to solve the mystery behind the spiked chocolates, Rajesh and Sakhi (Chinmayee Salvi) also investigate and attempt to uncover the truth behind the mysterious parcel. Sakhi's investigation takes a new twist when she bumps into a familiar face from her past, Karen (Zain Nabil), the former German exchange student who once visited the Wagles during an exchange programme. To Sakhi's shock, it turns out that Karen delivered the suspicious parcel. He later confesses to have fallen prey to a drug cartel’s nefarious threats and blackmail, being forced to deliver their parcels.
The Wagles find themselves with a dual mission, first to stop the cartel and their drug deliveries and second to help Karen escape this difficult situation. Will Rajesh and Sakhi succeed in their challenging mission?
Sumeet Raghvan, who essays the role of Rajesh Wagle, said, " Through this track, the show sheds light on a real and pressing issue in today’s world: the trafficking of substances through innocent people and how the menace is spreading far and wide. In the story, Karen has always landed up in surprising situations at the Wagle household and has a knack for bringing some challenge with him. Earlier, it was his fondness for Sakhi that ruffled the family, and now his involvement in delivering drug laced chocolates.”
