MUMBAI: Actor and celebrity stylist Riddhima Sharma has been following Bigg Boss 19 contestant Tanya Mittal since the time she started her content journey as a spiritual influencer. And now styling her for the biggest reality show on Indian television has truly been special for Riddhima. In a chat with TellyChakkar, she stressed that for styling Tanya, her rule was quite simple—clothes that represent her personality.
She said, “I’ve been focusing on truly understanding her personality and the kind of aura she carries. As a stylist, I wanted to create something fresh and distinctive—looks that represent the rich culture and craftsmanship from different parts of our country. My aim was to blend heritage with modern fashion, bringing back the timeless 90s charm because old is gold, especially when it comes to royalty and elegance. Every outfit was designed to make her look powerful, graceful, and uniquely herself.”

Riddhima adds that fashion plays a huge role in shaping a contestant’s visibility and narrative. She said, “Your personality, nature, and behavior all reflect through the way you dress, and the audience connects with that instantly. Tanya’s style is different, royal, and very gracefully presented in the Bigg Boss house—and the audience truly loves it. When the whole world is watching you, fashion becomes a powerful tool, and her outfits definitely add to her presence and impact in the game.”
But to make her stand out, there are, of course, some challenges. “One of the biggest challenges of styling for Bigg Boss is that I’ve never met Tanya in person, but I’ve been following her even before the show, so I already understood her personal style. I also spoke to her brother, Amritesh, who shared her preferences, colors she loves, and what suits her personality. Based on that, I created different looks to bring freshness and variety,” she said.
“Another challenge is planning multiple outfits in advance because the show needs constant changes, and the environment is unpredictable. That’s why I believe in sending more options so she always has the right look ready. In fact, for the last Weekend Ka Vaar, I prepared her outfit in just one hour. Harsh lighting, public scrutiny, and limited time are definitely tough, but knowing her style so well helps me create looks that compliment her personality and still stand out on camera,” Riddhima ended.
