MUMBAI: Abhishek Sharma is currently seen as Buzo in Sargun Mehta and Ravie Dubey’s Colors TV show Tu Juliet Jatt Di, which is produced under their banner Dreamiyata Entertainment. TellyChakkar.com got in touch with the actor to know more about his character in the show, preps for the same and more.
When asked what prompted him to take up the show, he said, "The script felt raw, real, and rooted. You don’t often see this kind of drama on television. It feels like a perfect blend between a web series and a TV show. The storytelling is modern but still emotionally grounded, so both the youth and elders will connect with it. That balance really stood out for me and made me want to be a part of it."

Abhishek, who was also seen in Ravie and Sargun's TV show Junooniyatt on Colors and their YouTube web show Dil Ko Rafu Karr Lei, relates to his character a lot. He said, "On a personal level, friendship is extremely important to me. I am the kind of person who stands by my friends through every situation, good or bad. If they need me, I am there without a second thought."
"When the creative team briefed me about Buzo, they described him as someone who is like a brother to Nawab, and no matter what the situation is, he stands strong with him. That brotherhood and loyalty felt very close to who I am in real life," he added.
When asked about what makes this character different from the ones he has played before, he said, "It's how deeply his relationships define him. It is not just about love or drama. His journey is driven by loyalty, sacrifice, and the bonds he protects, which makes him much more layered and emotional to portray."
Talking about the preparations for the show, Sharma said, "In the beginning, I started preparing on my own based on what I had understood about the character. Later, Sargun ma’am conducted a workshop for us, where she gave detailed inputs and a deeper brief about my character. After that session, my approach completely changed," he said.
"I began working more precisely on the emotional graph, the way he speaks, reacts, and connects with other characters. Sargun ma’am is very experienced, and the way she guided us helped me understand the character on a much deeper level, which truly shaped my performance," Abhishek concluded.
Here's wishing Abhishek and team Tu Juliet Jatt Di best of luck!
