Roomies in Dreamland actor Nikhil Vijay says, “There was no pressure but a consciousness is always there” – Exclusive

MUMBAI :Nikhil Vijay has impressed one and all with his performances in many web series. The actor was recently seen in Roomies in Dreamland which premiered on Amazon Mini TV.

TellyChakkar recently interacted with Nikhil and spoke to him about the response he has received for the series, pressure, and a lot more...

What responses are you getting for your performance in Roomies in Dreamland?

Before this, three seasons of Roomies have come and this was very different from the previous ones. Of course, the biggest factor was that we had Jaaved Jaaferi in it and even the writing of this season is stronger than the earlier seasons. It was an easy job for me because I played this character earlier, but the way people have reacted to it and sent me messages, they are praising it and it feels very good.

Was there pressure to do it better this season?

There was no pressure but consciousness is always there whether it will turn out to be good or not. But, I have been acting for 11 years now, so I'm confident that I will do it. However, before performing there is anxiety.

Roomies in Dreamland talks about people’s struggles in Bollywood. So, do you remember your struggling days?

My struggle got over in Delhi. When I came to Mumbai, I had a job, so I didn’t have to struggle. When I was in Delhi, at that time only I got a job with TVF. In Delhi, I worked for a channel called The Timeliners which is a channel of TVF, so there my grooming happened. When I came to Mumbai, I knew I could act, but I was like maybe I won’t get a chance to act. So, that’s why simultaneously I started writing and joined TVF as a writer as well. They then gave me a chance and guided me on how I can sharpen my acting talent. So, there was no struggle in Mumbai, but there was a mental struggle.
