MUMBAI: Amazon Prime is coming up with a new docu-series tittled 'Angry Young Man' a series based on the untold story of the ace writer duo Salim-Javed who gave back to back blockbuster hits at the Box office during the Era of 70s - 80s.
Today, their children Salman Khan, Farhan Akhtar and Zoya Akhtar launched the trailer of the series.
During the press conference Salman Kan spoke about Salim and Javed not becoming actors since there were so good at acting.
The actor said 'They were the highest paid writers then and not leaving that position only and even now and good they didn't pursue acting and write for themselves, even today you want find two hero's like them'
Salim Khan and Javed Akthar need no introduction in the movies bussiess.
Their pair was one of the most famous, successful writer pair of Indian cinema.
Every movie that they wrote were blockbuster hits and have become cult movies.
The Salim-Javed pair is still spoken about their first ever blockbuster movie of Amitabh Bachchan Tittle 'Zanjeer' was written by them where the actor got the tittle 'The Angry Young Man'
The went on to write blockbuster movies like Seeta Aur Geeta, Yahoo Ki Bharat, Deewar, Sholay, Trishul, Don, Khala Patthar,Dostana, Shaan etc.
The fall out created shockwaves in the industry and it came as the biggest loss for the Indian film industry.
Salim Khan in one of his interviews had said that it was Javed Akthar who took the decision to split and when he told him about it he was shocked and the reason he stated to seperate was that he wanted to create his own independent route to success.
Well, this duo is legendary and no one can be close to their success and the number of blockbuster hits they gave.
