Shahid has also been roped in by the director duo Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK for a big-budget web series. Raj and DK has become popular with their recent web series The Family Man on Amazon. The south actress Malavika Mohanan has been reportedly paired opposite Shahid in Raj and DK‘s upcoming web series. The actress is expected to start shoot for the show from March-end or early April, 2021. Shahid has reportedly signed a 60-crore deal with Amazon and Raj and DK’s web series is one of them.
The earlier plan was that Shahid would complete Karan Johar’s Yoddha before kickstarting the web series. According to a Pinkvilla report, that plan has now changed. The actor will now shoot for the web series for Amazon Prime, which will be his big debut on the digital platform. The series, which is an action thriller, will be filmed in Mumbai and Delhi from the first week of January 2021, the report further stated. The show will be shot for four months, and Shahid plans to wrap it up by April 2021, after which he will move on to Karan’s Yoddha.
Shahid is currently shooting for Jersey, where he plays a retired cricketer. However, the shoot of the film in Chandigarh faced a roadblock amidst the farmers’ protest in Punjab and Haryana.
