Shakuntala Devi on Amazon Prime: Vidya Balan announces release date like a genius

Watch! Vidya Balan smartly announces the release date of the Shakuntala Devi biopic, which is all set to release on Amazon Prime.

MUMBAI: With theatres shutting indefinitely because of the Coronavirus lockdown, a lot of upcoming Bollywood biggies are directly premiering on OTT platforms. Among many others, the list also includes Vidya Balan’s Shakuntala Devi, a biopic on the math genius. It was some days ago that the actor announced this news, now, taking to her social media, Vidya Balan has dropped in the biopic’s release date and it’s only going to add to your excitement. Well, the actress made it a point to unveil the date uniquely, just like the legendary mathematician herself.

The video begins with Vidya giving a tough math problem, that too as quickly as possible. She then takes a pause and asks viewers if she’s going too fast. Further, Vidya slows down and once again asks the same problem, the answer of which turns out to be Shakuntala Devi’s release date, that is, July 31, 2020. Opening up on the film’s release on OTT, Sanya said, “I’m super excited that Shakuntala Devi will be releasing on Amazon Prime, it feels like I have a special relationship with Amazon because even Photograph and Pataakha had released there and received a huge response. I’m looking forward to the audience seeing Shakuntala Devi and overall I’m happy that in such times, we are able to keep the audience entertained.”
