MUMBAI: The lockdown imposed because of the Coronavirus pandemic has been tough on everyone. While many struggled to get basic amenities, there were many who faced financial crisis too, people were unable to pay rent, and they were stuck in one place and couldn’t even return to their hometowns. Content writer and producer, Santosh Gupta is bringing one such story on OTT.
He has produced a short film titled “Quarantine Zindagi”, which is based on the lives of struggling actors during the lockdown. He shared that they shot the entire film with just three technicians.
Talking about the USP of the film he said, “I think the way we shot it, with only three technicians especially during this COVID scenario and lockdown is what makes this film unique. We did all the work, from dubbing to music and everything, online.”

Explaining the storyline of the film, he said, “The film is about a struggling actress, hailing from Punjab, who lives in a 2BHK flat with a roommate. But because of the pandemic, her roommate leaves. The film then shows how she manages everything alone and misses her family. What she does when she is unable to pay for her rent and EMIs and how she survives, this is what ‘Quarantine Zindagi’ is about.”
Directed by Mg Mehul Gadani, the film features Sezal Sharma, Shivanya Mehrara and Jignesh Joshi. It will release on July 15.
Santosh also shared some details of his future projects and said, “There is another short film that I am working on. It is the story of a TV actress during this pandemic. It will also have an OTT release soon. It features ‘Kamaal Dhamaal Malamaal’ fame actress Nyra Banerjee.”
