MUMBAI: Sidharth Malhotra’s career was not in a great zone until Shershaah was released last year. The film premiered on Amazon Prime Video, and it received an amazing response. However, the actor is yet to prove his mettle at the box office as his last release Thank God, which also starred Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh, failed to make a mark at the box office. 
 
Now, the makers of Mission Majnu have decided to release the film on Netflix. The OTT platform posted on Instagram, “Ek jaanbaaz agent ki ansuni kahaani. MISSION MAJNU Only on Netflix, 20th January.”

Mission Majnu was earlier supposed to release in theatres, and the release date has been changed multiple times. However, netizens are not happy with the film’s OTT release. A netizen commented, “Wtf, why this movie on Netflix?! Dude,u really need to think of what movies u are suppose to release on theatres and what to release on Ott..was really looking forward to this one for a theatrical release instead of shitty Thank God movie.” Check out the other comments below…

Directed by Shantanu Bagchi, Mission Majnu also stars Rashmika Mandanna in the lead role. It was supposed to be her Bollywood debut, but Goodbye was released first and the Amitabh Bachchan starrer became her Hindi film debut.

Well, with Shershaah, Sidharth had bounced back amazingly, and now, it will be interesting to see what response Mission Majnu will get on OTT.
