MUMBAI : Sumona Chakravarti is a true blue entertainer, as her experience in several shows has clearly demonstrated. She experimented with acting in shows like Bade Acche Lagte Hai, Kasamh Se, Kasturi, Jamai Raja, and others, and after becoming friends with famous comedian Kapil Sharma, she enjoyed great success.

She appeared in three seasons of The Kapil Sharma Show in addition to stand-up shows like Comedy Nights With Kapil and Kahani Comedy Circus Ki. However, Sumona hasn't been included in The Great Indian Kapil Show on Netflix since Kapil returned with a fresh season of his show. Furthermore, recent reports indicate that the comedian-turned-actress may have been upset by it.

The popular news portal reported that Kapil Sharma's decision to not cast Sumona Chakravarti in his Netflix series The Great Indian Kapil Show has left her seemingly shocked, angry, and upset. The actress apparently anticipated that the entire cast from the previous seasons would be kept for the program, as she had been close to the comedian for almost ten years. She was shocked when it didn't occur in her situation.

The report stated, “She had expected that the entire cast would be retained for the digital version of the show, but she did not get any call from Kapil. Also, With Sunil (Grover) joining the show back, Kapil only took Krushna (Abhishek) and Kiku (Sharda) with him.”

Moving further, the report clarified that Sumona Chakravarti had analysed her stint in Kapil Sharma’s show, and acknowledges the fact that her punch lines and dialogue delivery only fetched limited fun on the show. However, what she didn’t expect that it would ultimately affect the casting of the show itself.

Expressing Sumona’s anger, the report revealed, “She always thought that the jokes on her dialogue delivery and style were limited to having fun on the show, but she never thought that this would go beyond that, and affect the casting process. She was very angry initially, and is still quite upset with what happened, however, she chose to deal with it by maintaining silence and not talking about it.”

Sumona has stopped communicating with Kapil Sharma ever since he did not include her in his new show, according to the report's last section. She also wants to avoid reliving the emotional roller coaster by not talking about her removal in public since it wasn't her decision. As a result, Sumona moved on and concentrated on other projects.

Sumona Chakravarti previously discussed her thoughts on not being a part of Netflix's comedy show The Great Indian Kapil Show, which is currently aired in nearly 190 countries, in an interview with the well-known news agency.

Defining her stand on the matter, she stated, “I don’t have an answer to this. The show that I was part of, which was on another channel, ended last year in July. Since then, I’ve been on my own journey, doing my own things, networking, and meeting people.”
