MUMBAI: With just four days to go, the excitement and anticipation amongst fans to watch ALTBalaji and ZEE5 Club’s new web-series Dark7White seems to be at its peak. The political thriller is making headlines for all the right reasons since the first look of the show was out. 

Keeping the frenzy at a high, the two platforms launched the show via a digital press conference amid the cast members. The virtual session was attended by actors Sumeet Vyas, Nidhi Singh, Jatin Sarna, Monica Chaudhary, Shekhar Chaudhary, Kunj Anand, and Tanya Kalra. The web series is all set to be launched on November 24 on ALTBalaji and ZEE5 apps. 

With all eyes on what the series has in store for viewers, the highly-anticipated conference got off to the best start with RJ Rohini showing those present the trailer of the upcoming show. Adding to the frenzy, the host thrilled the audience with some excitement as she spoke about the buzz that the show has created and its characters. During the question-answer round with the cast, no one could resist spilling the beans about the show and their characters. 

Speaking about his look in the series Sumeet Vyas said, “I’ve never kept long hair or a full-grown beard, but our director Satwik Mohanty was very keen that I should have this look. I was trying to convince him that please don’t do this because it will be very difficult for me to maintain. He told me that I put on a wig along with a fake moustache and beard, it might not look convincing. I was like ok, I will go in with your conviction and I am glad that I did that because it’s a very interesting look and had to come out naturally.” 

Speaking about her role Nidhi Singh quipped, “It’s always very humbling when the audience likes you, in whatever way they do, as Tanya in Permanent Roommates or as Daisy in Dark 7 White. As you can see from the look it is very different from the one has ever seen. It’s fun to be paired opposite somebody, who’s been your friend and who you have known for such a long time. It’s like coming together to work with a partner, who you have worked with for such a long time and share camaraderie. It’s a very different character that both of us (Sumeet and I ) have played in the series compared to what audiences have seen in the past, and I hope they like us in this new avatar.” 

Speaking about the show, Jatin Sarna said, “The show peels off many layers by exploring the darkness hidden behind each character who is power-hungry and wants to rule the game of politics. I believe my character in Dark7White is a memorable performance for me and is quite different from all other characters. Hope audience will feel the same and see my character from a fresh perspective.” 

Dark 7 White is a youth-oriented political murder mystery that’s narrated in a quirky storytelling style laced with dark humour. It is a gripping story about seven friends having high profile jobs, with the story shedding light on how their situation wasn’t the same back in their college days. What adds to the intrigue is the story of one of these seven characters who use the other six for his advantage.
