The Married Women: Ridhi Dogra and Monica Dogra spill the beans on their characters and the series

Ridhi Dogra and Monica Dogra in exclusive conversation speak about their web series, and on playing the love interest of each other

MUMBAI: The Married Women is all set for its premiere on ALTBalaji, and the fans cannot keep calm as they were eagerly waiting for the series, The Married Woman which speaks about the journey of married women seeking happiness and looking for herself, the series is the adaptation of the acclaimed book by Manju Kapur. The show features Ridhi Dogra and Monica Dogra as the lead characters. The cast includes Imaad Shah, Ayesha Raza, Rahul Vohra, Divya Seth Shah, Nadira Babbar and Suhaas Ahuja, among others.

Team TellyChakkar got an exclusive chance to speak with the leading ladies of the show, Ridhi Dogra and Monica Dogra, who will see as Astha and Peeplika respectively in the series, while interacting with us both the actresses were seen excited for the show, and revealed that they are already getting much love from the fans all over for their series and the trailer is getting from the fans, and talking about the show they both said that every time we have seen a story ending with a line which says “And they live happily ever after”, and this show Married Women starts after this tagline, no one shows the story after the loved ones are married are hey happy till today, how their lives changes and what difficulties they had to face is something The Married Women deals with.

And in this journey of seeking happiness from her married life, Astha has to face some challenges which will surely be loved by the fans, they both added.

Talking about their roles, Ridhi Dogra as Astha and Monica Dogra as Peeplika, they both said that they were very comfortable and easy with each other to play their roles and love interest in the show, they both highlighted that they were not at all uneasy on playing their love interest for each other and excited to share this with their fans.

Monica said “Astha looks like an ordinary girl living with a happy family, but she is not ordinary but is dealing with her complexity in life and on the other hand Peeplika is someone for whom it is said she is not good for the Indian Society, but all she needs is love.

Also adding further, they both said the show has much to offer than what the book is, and the ones who loved the book will surely love the show too as the show has elevated the level of the book.
