MUMBAI: OTT platform just boomed with the lockdown imposed with the outbreak of the Novel Coronavirus. Beginning with Shoojit Sircar’s Gulabo Sitabo which skipped the theatrical release and opted for the OTT to entertain the audience, now Sanjay Dutt’s action thriller, Torbaaz, will be released on the Netflix platform. The actor shared the first look motion poster of his upcoming venture on his Twitter account. The motion poster has the actor, surrounded by kids, all having arms wide spread indicating freedom, with their smiles elating the screen.
This action thriller revolves around a man’s struggle to give a new life to the kids from a refugee camp, by introducing them to the game of cricket. He tweeted, “A man rises from personal tragedy to lead a group of children from a refugee camp to victory, transforming their lives through the game of cricket. It's almost time to play! @NargisFakhri@RahulDevRising#Torbaaz @rahulmittra13@RajuChadhaWave@malik_girish” Featuring the Munnabhai actor in an army officer’s role. Thus marking his presence onscreen after 2018.

With Sanjay Dutt in the pivotal role, taking the story ahead will be actors Rahul Dev, Pransh Chopra, Humayoon Shams Khan and actress Nargis Fakhri. This directorial venture of Girish Malik will be a treat for Dutt’s fans, watching him entertain them even amid the lockdown.
His last three ventures which saw him in pivotal roles, such as Prassthanam, Kalank and Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster 3, didn’t do well at the box office.
