MUMBAI : Actor Varun Dhawan has disclosed the ingredients needed to produce "pan-India chemistry," saying that "North boy + South girl" is the right combination. Varun posted a number of images from the "Citadel: Honey Bunny" trailer debut on Instagram on Friday.
Sharing a picture of himself with actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Varun wrote, “North boy + South girl = pan INDIA chemistry. Yesterday was everything I hoped for. Thank you for the love on the teaser”
He further praised his directors Raj & DK and wrote, “eaming up with @rajanddk has been fantastic. Over that, getting the @therussobrothers to produce this with @dr_films is even more special. @amazonprime has been great partners in providing us this platform to truly tell this global badass romance.”
Citadel: Honey Bunny, an Indian version of the film "Citadel," starring Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra, will be available for streaming starting on November 7.
Varun revealed that this is the second time in his career—after "Badlapur"—that he is a part of a sad story during the trailer unveiling on Thursday.
Regarding movies, Varun's upcoming release is "Baby John," an action thriller directed by Kalees. The movie is scheduled to open on Christmas Day of 2024.
The actor and the producers revealed the new release date in June. The movie was originally supposed to premiere on May 31. A statement said that the release date was postponed because of the film's strong emphasis on action scenes and visual effects.
