MUMBAI: According to speculations, Aditya Roy Kapur's new web series featuring Raj and DK has an impressive cast of female stars. The most recent sources state that Wamiqa Gabbi will be sharing the screen with Samantha Ruth Prabhu, despite earlier rumors indicating that she has been cast for the role.
According to earlier reports, the action-genre series is tentatively called Rakhtbeej. However, according to Peeping Moon's report, the series is presently titled Rakht Brahmand and is slated to be a period fantasy.
Additionally, they mentioned in their report that Rahi Anil Barve, of Tumbbad fame, will be directing it, with Raj and DK serving simply as showrunners.
A source told the portal, “Rahi has created a mysterious, fantastical world that has never been explored in Indian cinema before. Aditya, Samantha, and Wamiqa were immediately taken aback by the concept and visualization and are excited to venture into entirely uncharted professional territory with this show. It’s a passion project that Rahi has been developing since before Tumbbad came out. He had initially planned it as a feature film but adapted it into a web series due to extensive material that couldn’t fit into the movie format. Expect an incredible, exhilarating ride that will transport you into a world full of deceit and double-crossing, love and sacrifice, and destiny.”
Earlier, the popular news portal reported, “It was only in May that he (Aditya) gave his nod to the project. Soon after, the makers brought Samantha on board. Since the show heavily relies on action, the two actors have begun their individual prep. They will do joint training sessions soon.”
According to the source, the director team is presently working on Family Man's third season. They intend to put the show on the floor by August of this year. The director team has not yet confirmed these rumors.
After The Night Manager, this is Aditya's second venture into the world of OTT content. Samantha Ruth Prabhu works with Raj and DK frequently. She debuted in Raj and DK's Family Man and is currently starring opposite Varun Dhawan in Citadel: Honey Bunny. Viewers can't wait to see Aditya Roy Kapur and Samantha Ruth Prabhu with Wamiqa Gabbi on the screen.
