MUMBAI: Today, Amazon Prime Video unveiled the teaser of their upcoming heist show, Akkad Bakkad Rafu Chakkar. The teaser presents an intriguing story but the project also has a bittersweet memory attached to it now. The show will mark the last project to be created by filmmaker Raj Kaushal, who passed away a few months ago owing to a heart attack.

Raj was survived by his wife, actress Mandira Bedi, who is co-producing the show that stars some fresh faces including, Vicky Arora, Anuj Rampal, Shishir Sharma, Swati Semwal, Sreya Muthukumar, Alisha Chopra and Santosh Singh. It tells the story of seven scamsters who come together to plan one of the biggest heists of the country.

The teaser shows Bhargav Sharma, played by Vicky Arora, and his friends hatch a plan to open India’s first fake bank and get people to deposit money in it and flee with the moolah. Will they get caught or not is what makes up the mystery of the show, and their journey is what is going to make it an interesting watch.

Meanwhile, netizens have loved the teaser of the show as the comments section of the teaser is full with appreciative messages. A user commented, “Kya expect kar rhe the aur prime kya leke aa gya Khair jo bhi aa rha hai Bawal aa rha hai,” whereas another user recognised that coming with so many fresh faces might prove a risky move, but the show looks promising and might make careers of these fresh talents.

Akkad Bakkad Rafu Chakkar is created by Raj Kaushal, marking his last directorial venture, and has been written by Aman Khan. It will be released on Amazon Prime Video on November 3, 2021.
