MUMBAI: Upcoming movie Jalsa, which has Vidya Balan and Shefali Shah in the leading roles, has been the talk of the town ever since it was announced.

Ever since the announcement video, fans were eagerly waiting for the upcoming movie because of the star cast and the thrill element, which can be sensed from the video itself.

And now, it is said that the movie will have a direct-to-digital release. Yes, you heard right. This upcoming movie of Vidya Balan and Shefali Shah titled Jalsa will premiere on Amazon Prime Video.

Looking at the history of work of Vidya Balan and Shefali Shah, it will be a treat to watch their talent in a single project.

Jalsa will be directed by Suresh Triveni, who also helmed Vidya's 2017 film Tumhari Sallu. Apart from Vidya and Shefali, the film also stars Rohini Hattangadi, Iqbal Khan, Vidhatri Bandi, Gurpal Singh, and Surya Kasibhatla. Manav Kaul will have a special appearance. It is written by Prajwal Chandrashekar and Suresh Triveni.
