Did you know Ileana D'Cruz was not the first choice to play the female lead in Barfi?

Director Anurag Basu’s Barfi starring Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Ileana D'Cruz earned lot of appreciation from the masses and critics alike.

However, very few people know that Katrina Kaif was the initial choice to play Ileana’s role. Anurag wanted Kat for the film as Ranbir and Kat have a great onscreen chemistry. But as we say, someone’s loss is someone’s gain, and in this case, it was Ileana who finally bagged the coveted role.
