Kaam Chaalu Hai REVIEW: Rajpal Yadav and Giaa Manek starrer movie gives a strong message

It is great to see Rajpal Yadav in such a character that we haven’t seen him play before. Even Giaa Manek, who plays the character of wife to Manoj and a mother to Gudiya, feels very cute and lovely.

MUMBAI: On a daily basis, we see a common man’s struggle with a lot of issues. A common man is fighting wars on all grounds, be it personal, political, professional or even his internal struggles. One thing that always gets people going is ‘hope’. Hope for a better life, hope for a better house, hope for a better environment, hope for better transport and what not.

Kaam Chalu Hai shows a small, cute and common family that is happy in their own sweet world. We see Rajpal Yadav in a complexly unique character this time as here he is not playing the usual comic role which we are so used to seeing from his side. Here, he is a husband and a very loving father.

On the other hand, we get to watch Giaa Manek, who has made quite a name for herself in the TV world and we see her pair up well with Rajpal Yadav as his wife. While Giaa Manek plays the character of Radha, Rajpal Yadav plays the role of Manoj Patil. The essential part or the driving factor of the story is their on-screen daughter Gudiya, played by Kurangi Nagraj.

The movie talks about an overlooked but strong subject of improper roads and how some people lose their life in accidents because of potholes. The story is based on real life events but when it comes to the making of the movie, it surely needs some work. For a long part of the movie, you won't get to see much substance. However, once the unfortunate accident happens, the movie takes a serious turn and it becomes more engaging.

It is great to see Rajpal Yadav in such a character that we haven’t seen him play before. Even Giaa Manek, who plays the character of wife to Manoj and a mother to Gudiya, feels very cute and lovely. The writers have done good job in keeping the story line clear and not confusing the audience in any ways. Even the characters are well-written. The direction is on-point and so are the performances.

Team Tellychakkar gives this a 3/5.
