She started her career in Tamil cinema with Mappillai and then appeared in several commercially successful Tamil films such as Engeyum Kadhal, Velayudham, Oru Kal Oru Kannadi, Theeya Velai Seiyyanum Kumaru, Singam II and Aranmanai.
